Martin Buck, Director of Travel


Increasingly, European tourists looking to spend their winter vacation in a destination of Sun and Sea, exchanging winter sports on the beach, bookin according to a study of ITB Berlin and IPK International.
According to the latest survey of the World Travel Monitor by IPK International, European tourists flee increasingly cold temperatures, hence the preference for destinations where the sun is constant.
Martin Buck, Director of Travel & Logistics at Messe Berlin, explains that "nowadays, when people yearn for a sun and beach holiday in winter, this makes for a different travel behavior of a few years ago. The relatively poor summer weather, as is the case in large parts of Germany, in 2014, could favor this trend and in the coming months could generate extra revenue for popular sun destinations. "
