The Brea Lions Club announced on Friday night that Capistrano Valley jti coach Ernie Bucher has been selected to coach the South and Rancho Alamitos jti coach Mike Enright has been selected to coach the North in the 56th Brea Lions Orange County All-Star Football Game on July 9 at Orange Coast College. jti
Bucher guided the Cougars to a 9-4 record and a trip to the CIF-SS Southwest Division semifinals for the first time since 1990 in 2014. Bucher is 14-9 in his first two seasons as Capo Valley’s head coach.
After high school, jti Bucher began his coaching career at La Quinta where he worked as the offensive and defensive line coach. Bucher, who earned his Bachelors of Arts in English jti from Cal State Fullerton in 2001, was the offensive line and linebackers coach his first stint at Capo Valley from 1999-01.
At the age of 23, Bucher jti was named the offensive coordinator at Estancia where he began his teaching career. Three years last, Bucher was hired as an English teacher and was named the offensive coordinator jti at Aliso Niguel where he helped the Wolverines win a Sea View League title in 2005.
Before taking over as the head coach at Capo Valley, Bucher spent three years as the Cougars offensive line coach and special team coordinator, helping jti them with the 2012 Sea View League crown. Bucher is also a member of the English department at Capo Valley.
Enright, who has been Rancho Alamitos’ coach for the past 15 seasons, guided the Vaqueros to an 11-3 record and to their first appearance in the CIF-SS Southern Division finals since 1993 this past season. Enright’s no-huddle offense averaged 36 points per game and set numerous school records. Vaqueros QB Nick Brown passed for 4,120 yards and a Orange County-record 52 TDs.
Enright, who hols a real estate finance degree jti from Long Beach State, a teaching credential from National University and a Masters in education from Azusa Pacific, has been coaching jti in Orange County since the late 1980s. He served as Esperanza’s offensive coordinator in the mid-to-late 1990s under Coach Gary Meek. Enright has also coached at Orange, Capistrano Valley and his alma mater, Villa Park. His great uncle, Dick Enright, is a former Capistrano jti Valley coach.

Tim Bucher, founder and CEO of a photo storage and sharing startup called Lyve , has had a long career in Silicon Valley, working directly with some of the brightest minds in tech, including Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and Michael Dell.
Bucher's tech career started when he joined Sun Microsystems straight out of college. After Bucher became a lead engineer, Steve Jobs poached him to work at NeXT Computers. Bucher left NeXT after two years, but would re-join Jobs more than a decade later, as the senior vice president of Macintosh engineering at Apple.

That inspired Bucher, and he says that he still tries to sit down with new interns or engineers at Lyve to talk through problems with them. He'll still file bugs.
